Lady Sas: Dear Sloane, please describe us how you became a Dominatrix.
Miss Sloane May: I started my journey in the London kink scene over 6 years ago. I attended lots of parties and became involved in the community. I slowly started to explore my dominant side with personal play partners and documenting this on social media, which gained interest from followers about whether I offered sessions. At the time I was using Seeking Arrangements and a sub asked if he could book me for a session. I decided to go ahead to see if I’d enjoy doing paid sessions, and I loved it! It’s now been 3.5 years and I’ve never looked back.

Lady Sas: Many people have a very superficial view of a Dominatrix and only think of a bossy lady in boots who brandishes a whip. What does a dominatrix really do?
Miss Sloane May: I think people believe that we just do sessions and are waited on hand and foot. In reality, there are so many different skills required to be a dominatrix.
I have had to learn how to build my own brand, be a social media and marketing whizz, build my website and work on my SEO. I do my own finances, admin, scheduling and subscription sites… and that’s just everything I do in the background of my work with clients.
Clients are coming to me for a service and I want to provide them with the best service I can. Each client is different in terms of wants and needs of a session. You have to be emotionally intelligent to do this role, being able to build trust with your clients before you meet them so they feel safe to be vulnerable with you.
Lady Sas: What excites you about playing with slaves?
Miss Sloane May: I enjoy the variety of play I get to explore within my work. I love it when a sub comes to me with a specific fantasy or kink that they want to explore. I enjoy creating these scenarios and taking them on a journey. It excites me when these fantasies are “taboo” or extreme and we get to explore them together. I enjoy when my subs are vulnerable and committed to me. The psychological side of domination is as exciting as the physical side.

What is Sploshing?
Lady Sas: What are the working conditions for Dominatrixes in the UK? In Germany, you need an official ID card as a sex worker.
Miss Sloane May: Sex work is legal in the UK, but the laws around it make it difficult to exist openly and increase chances of danger to workers. For example, it is legal to work alone in a private space in the UK, but it is illegal to work with another worker. There are also laws around brothel keeping which means that workers cannot share a premises to work from together. The law around sex work can be difficult to navigate.
Lady Sas: The term “sploshing” appears in your service list. What does that mean?
Miss Sloane May: Sploshing is a fetish that involves getting messy with different materials. People assume it’s always food and drink, but it can include other things like slube or gunge. Sploshing sessions tend to get very messy and subs generally have their favourite things to be sploshed with! Usually it’s custard, cream, different sauces, beans and anything wet or slimy.
My clients are all really interesting people and I have gained so much from spending time with them. I am so lucky to be supported by them in my adventures and have gained insight from them as people.

Lady Sas: How would you describe the Femdom Scene in London?
Miss Sloane May: The femdom scene in London is vast! Femdom has become more popular and celebrated more over the last few years. Clients who are new to the scene always comment on how many Dommes there are to choose from. I’ve met some wonderful femdoms and subs through working in London which I’m very grateful for.
Lady Sas: You attended the last London Piss Party. What kind of party is that?
Miss Sloane May: The London Piss Party is a monthly watersports event, organised by Miss May Berlin at her studio, E1 Darkroom. There are five Domme’s, who spend the day catching up, enjoying champagne and snacks, whilst we have a human toilet in the centre of the room. The toilet is completely objectified and is only used as a toilet, so it’s not like a typical session. It’s always a fun day at the London Piss Party.
Lady Sas: Has your work as a Mistress changed you personally?
Miss Sloane May: Being a Mistress has had a huge impact on me personally. It’s taught me so many skills (as mentioned above!) It’s opened so many doors and opportunities for me that I would not have found doing a regular job. My clients are all really interesting people and I have gained so much from spending time with them. I am so lucky to be supported by them in my adventures and have gained insight from them as people.

Lady Sas: Please tell us how you spend your free time.
Miss Sloane May: I mostly spend my free time cooking or eating out. I’m a huge foodie and enjoy trying different foods and wines, or hosting dinner parties. I also love to read, do yoga, walk, trave and paint.
Lady Sas: What are your plans for the future?
Miss Sloane May: My plans are to keep expanding my business. I’d like to do a few UK tours this year, although I have not decided where yet. I’d also like to work internationally, but that will take some planning! I’ll also be expanding my online services this year, which is something I am looking forward to.
