Mistress Deva Verena is an attractive Femdom whose nature is not easy to define. This is partly because she is very multifaceted, versatile in her interests and skilled in many areas. At Studio Lux Berlin, Dominatrix Mistress Deva Verena offers, among other things, classic domination and training. In her recently opened coaching practice SPIELRAUM in Berlin Weissensee, BDSM blends with coaching, bodywork and energy work. Particularly interesting: Deva also runs a clinic/dental clinic. Yes, placing her simply in the box of “Dominatrix” does not do her justice. It’s best if you get your own impression and read the interview I did with her. Enjoy.

Update 2025: The SPIELRAUM practice website is no longer available.

Lady Sas: Dear Deva Verena, please tell us about your path to BDSM.

Domina Mistress Deva Verena: I came to BDSM purely by chance about eight years ago. Before that, I had nothing to do with the topic. A friend invited me to a session. She had met someone who found it exciting to offer himself to two friends for sadistic practices. He had a lot of equipment at home and was very resilient. There was a tribute and champagne. It was simply a fun evening. That was my start, straight into the deep end. And obviously that experience shaped me. But it still took some time before I started working as a Dominatrix. Only two years later did I start in an SM studio and gradually got to know and love the many facets of BDSM.

Over time, I also developed a much better sense of what BDSM means to me, beyond the fun factor. For example, the work with people, the responsibility, the influence one can have, and how to truly lead and hold someone. I also got to know myself and my personal strengths better and shaped them over time.

Interview with Dominatrix Mistress Deva Verena from Berlin

Lady Sas: When you take on the role of the classic Mistress, how should a submissive address you?

Domina Mistress Deva: I can’t give a general answer, because it has to suit the submissive and the situation. It should definitely be respectful. I value respect and devotion much more than formalities.

The title “Mistress,” for example, means nothing to me if it’s not accompanied by behavior that reflects it. Likewise, a submissive may not use a title at all, but I can feel their devotion in every gesture. That is what matters to me.

Lady Sas: What fascinates you about dominating men and women?

Domina Mistress Deva: For me, it feels natural. And I simply find it exciting. Not because of gender differences, but because I find people fascinating in general.

Lady Sas: On a scale from 0 (almost not at all) to 10 (extremely) – how sadistic are you if your partner can take it and loves it?

Domina Mistress Deva: If we leave out dangerous practices and real risks, I can be very sadistic. A session lives from touching something deep inside a person and creating an inner response. There is nothing more unsatisfying than not reaching someone at their core. If the person can take it, loves it, or needs it – then I find intense sadistic practices and edge experiences wonderful.

I wouldn’t define it in numbers, because everyone has a different tolerance for pain. I would rather say that I lead someone to their personal pain threshold and perhaps a little beyond it, if it fits the session. Those moments can be the most beautiful and honest.

What I absolutely do not enjoy is crude, thoughtless cruelty based on destruction alone. That is not who I am.

Training Success: When the submissive fully arrives in their devoted role.

Lady Sas: How would you describe your training style?

Domina Mistress Deva: I would describe my style as individual and genuine. Forced roleplay and scripted commands are not my thing. My style is adaptable, which allows me to achieve the greatest training success. This may mean gentle but firm guidance, or hard drill. A success for me is when the submissive fully arrives in their role. Or when the session continues to echo long after it is over.

Lady Sas: Recently, you opened a BDSM coaching space. What is it about and who is it for?

Domina Mistress Deva: The offer is broad. Traditional coaching is possible as well.

I find the combination of BDSM elements and coaching particularly exciting. I call it Dynamic Coaching. It has a playful aspect and can therefore be more effective.

To name a few scenarios: Someone with a naturally submissive orientation may be better able to pursue and achieve goals under firm guidance. Dental anxiety can be addressed through a form of exposure therapy while sitting in the dental chair. Or someone may work on themes of regression and vulnerability through age play.

My fascination with the versatility of BDSM was actually the reason I wanted to open a coaching practice where SM, fetish, and domination have space – reinterpreted. The offer is therefore for people with or without BDSM experience. BDSM may be a topic, but it doesn’t have to be.

Deva’s Dental Clinic

Lady Sas: You also have a dental clinic in your portfolio. What can someone expect there? Is it like a real dentist appointment, or is it sexual in nature?

Domina Mistress Deva: When Studio Avalon closed, I knew I absolutely wanted to have my own dental area. Avalon had a fully equipped dental chair in addition to the medical clinic room. I worked in dental clinics for several years and I am a trained dental assistant. I never expected to use that background in this way – but yes, the subject has always stayed with me.

My treatments are authentically dental. I know what I am doing. That is part of the appeal for me: I want to bring the actual atmosphere of a clinic to life. Of course, I do not drill or extract teeth – even if some people fantasize about that. But there is still plenty that is possible: impressions, pastes, polishes, ultrasonic cleaning. And simply lying in the dental chair is already a highlight for those drawn to the dental fetish.

Sessions in the dental chair, like all of my sessions, are not directly sexual. I do not offer direct sexual stimulation or an obligatory orgasm. The focus is on the dental fetish as an experience. I combine this with other BDSM elements such as strict restraints, dominance, or fetish aesthetics. I am always working with the person’s sexuality, of course. But in a deliberate and focused way.

Over time, I’ve learned what I want to emphasize and what I do not. Sometimes, focusing on the essential elements creates the most meaningful experience.

Lady Sas: You share openly that you are privately lesbian. How do male submissives react to the fact that you prefer women and they therefore cannot have any personal “hope” with you?

Domina Mistress Deva: What choice do they have? *laughs*

I am simply who I am. That has to be accepted. In a classic dominance context, the submissive should not have “hopes” in any case, because the Mistress is unattainable, no matter her orientation. The quality of my sessions does not depend on the gender of the person I am playing with.

Lady Sas: Could it even heighten the appeal for male submissives when the Mistress has zero sexual interest in men?

Domina Mistress Deva: Actually, yes. I’ve been told this many times. I think it reinforces the dynamic of being unreachable. And the fact that my sessions are not focused on direct sexual release makes that dynamic even stronger.

Classic Discipline and Submissive Training with Mistress Deva Verena

Lady Sas: “Classic Discipline and Training” is one of your core activities. What do you train specifically?

Domina Mistress Deva: It can be traditional submissive training. I often take cues from the everyday life of the submissive: posture, eye contact, the ability to respond fluidly to questions — especially in emotionally charged situations.

Physical resilience can also be trained, for example through caning or bastinado. Psychological resilience as well. If a submissive has fears they want to overcome, such a setting can be very effective.

The training also applies to those using Dynamic Coaching. Questions like: Where is the submissive currently in life? Where do they want to go? And how do we get there? Those can be central guiding questions.

Lady Sas: How has your professional situation been during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Domina Mistress Deva: The timing was not the worst for me, because I had already planned to take a break before I knew the pandemic was coming.

Of course, the situation affected me — like everyone. The uncertainty, the inability to plan. Still, I used the time to continue my education and open my practice. So in the end, things developed well for me. I am grateful for that.

Lady Sas: How do you spend your free time?

Domina Mistress Deva: I love traveling. I never get enough of it and I draw a lot of energy from it.

I am also interested in art and photography, and recently in film. During the pandemic, I learned video editing, which I enjoy a lot.

Lady Sas: And what are your plans for the future?

Domina Mistress Deva: This summer I opened my coaching practice. That area will continue to grow, and most of my upcoming projects revolve around it. There are new photoshoots and film work planned soon — I’m looking forward to that. I am also preparing a one-day PainPlay workshop with Lady Giorgina from Studio Lux. It focuses on different forms of sadistic play, their emotional impact, and how to design a session where pain is the central theme.

FAQs

Who is Mistress Deva Verena?

Mistress Deva Verena is an international Dominatrix based in Berlin. She is known for her classic discipline, deep psychological dominance, and her unique blend of BDSM with coaching and bodywork.

Does Mistress Deva Verena offer sessions in Berlin?

Yes. She works in Berlin and travels internationally. She has experience in both studio settings and individually designed private sessions.

What is “Dynamic Coaching” in her practice?

Dynamic Coaching is her approach of combining coaching methods with elements of BDSM and role-based work. It allows deeper emotional breakthroughs and personal development through guided power dynamics.

How do men react to the fact that she is privately only attracted to women?

Many actually find it even more exciting, because it emphasizes her unreachability and strengthens the dominant dynamic.

How did Mistress Deva Verena first enter the world of BDSM?

She encountered BDSM by chance during a private session with friends. The experience had a strong impact on her, but it wasn’t until two years later that she began working professionally in a studio.

What defines her style of dominance?

She describes her style as individual and authentic. She doesn’t rely on rigid roles or scripted commands. Instead, she responds to the personality and needs of the submissive in front of her.

What is her goal when training a submissive?

For her, success is when the submissive fully arrives in their role and the experience continues to resonate long after the session ends.

How does she approach pain in sessions?

She can be very sadistic if the person enjoys it and remains safe. Her goal is to reach something deep inside the person, not to be cruel for the sake of cruelty.

What does “respect” mean to her during a session?

Respect is more important than formal titles. “Mistress” is just a word – what matters is whether the submissive’s attitude and devotion truly reflect it.

Does she apply BDSM outside of traditional session settings?

Yes. In her approach called “Dynamic Coaching,” she combines BDSM elements with coaching methods to explore personal themes, goals, and emotional processes.
