Baroness Davina Dust: Dear Saskia, over the last two years I’ve developed quite a lot in my character, my opinions and views, and also in my SM skills. In my early phase I was probably more of a service provider in the bizarre scene. But now I have the authority to fully live out my own preferences in my sessions and to do only what I truly enjoy. And my own inclination is clearly toward a very sadistic, dominant direction. Without exaggerating, I would call myself a full-blooded sadist today. And a title like “Baroness” simply fits someone like that much better. The name “Davina Dust” means “lovely dirt” — a little nod to my two sides. Everyone can now form their own thoughts about that… (smiles).

Lady Sas: You moved from Hamburg to Munich in 2013. How do you like it, and what are the big differences for you?
Baroness Davina Dust: Hamburg is and will remain the most beautiful city in Germany, closely followed by Munich. I live in both cities from time to time and still haven’t decided where I want to settle down for good. At the moment, though, I spend most of my time in Switzerland. The BDSM scene in Hamburg is more open than in Munich, of course partly because of the Reeperbahn.
Other than that, the two cities may actually have more in common than differences. Both have very elegant neighborhoods, but both also have a real underground scene. You expect that from Hamburg; Munich surprises people more in that regard. As a positive-minded person, you find the beautiful places and the nice people anywhere in the world, and you avoid the ugly places and the idiots.
Lady Sas: Is there an SM scene in Munich?
Baroness Davina Dust: Yes, there is — unfortunately it’s a bit more hidden than in Hamburg. I’ve already managed to get somewhat into the Munich SM scene. In the private area, I’ve mainly found friends in the latex and bondage world. Thankfully I also met one of the great bondage masters here, who helped me perfect my rope and knot skills. Professionally speaking, I can say there are many beautiful studios spread all over the city, as well as a gigantic selection of submissive slaves.

Lady Sas: How did your path into BDSM unfold? Looking back, which key steps do you see in your development?
Baroness Davina Dust: BDSM was already a part of me long before I really knew the term. As a young brat — barely of legal age — I loved flirting with guys, turning them on, taking them home, tying them up there, laughing at them, and then leaving them to suffer in that state. It turned me on like crazy back then when the men started begging, pleading with me to loosen their restraints. At some point I would of course let them go.
Later I realized there was much more bizarre potential in me. On one side I trained in the healthcare field (that’s where my medical knowledge comes from, which I’ve refined over the years), and on the other side I read a lot. Not just the standard Marquis de Sade literature, but all kinds of works dealing with the dark corners of the human psyche. And through that, it became clearer and clearer what truly excites me.
Of course the physical aspect matters. Inflicting torment is wonderful, seeing the pain and humility in the moist eyes of my victim. But what matters even more to me is getting deep inside the slave. Into his soul. To lodge myself there. To fuck his brain. To completely subjugate him. Oh, and speaking of “getting deep inside” — I’m into strap-ons too…

Baroness Davina Dust: There are many very interesting colleagues, like Johanna Weber, Lady Monica, Lady Pamela, Dschuna Divine — I hope I’m not forgetting anyone. It’s fun when different characters run a session together. A lot of surprising things happen then. Plus there are scenarios you can play much more realistically — overpowering and kidnappings, for example.
