Lady Sas: Slave J, you have been serving three female students as a household and cleaning slave in a women-only flat share for about four months. Please describe your specific tasks and how it all works.

Roommate slave J: I am allowed to visit the Ladies once or twice a week, depending on how much work needs to be done. As a software developer who can do most of his work from home, I am in the fortunate position of being very flexible when it comes to managing my time. Monday afternoons are therefore reserved for my work in the Ladies‘ household. We are organized in a WhatsApp group. If my presence is not desired or is required on other days, I will be notified there.

In the beginning, at least one of the Ladies was always present. But now that doesn’t necessarily have to be the case. It may well happen that the apartment key is hidden and waiting for me.

I typically arrive around 1:00 p.m. My work begins by collecting the household waste from the Ladies‘ common and private rooms and disposing of it at the residential complex’s waste collection point. Of course, I have to make sure that the garbage is properly separated.

In the apartment itself, I take care of used dishes and cutlery and generally try to create order. Then come the bedrooms… making new bed sheets, dusting and, if previously discussed, cleaning windows. The used bedding or even clothing and underwear lying on the floor, which is a sign for me to wash, go into the washing machine. Depending on the washing program, there is time to clean/vacuum the floors, iron and make the bathroom and toilet shine.

I am usually finished around 7:00 p.m. If the Ladies are present, the day often ends with me ordering them something from an Asian restaurant.
