10 Questions for Slave Usagi

Usagi works as a slave at Studio Avalon in Berlin. In this interview, she tells us more about herself. Update: As many of you know, Studio Avalon has unfortunately closed.

The interview was conducted by our teammember sub jO.

QUESTION ONE

jO: Usagi is an interesting name. I googled it and found out that “Usagi” is Japanese for “rabbit.” How did you come up with the name, and what does it mean to you?

Slave Usagi: The name comes from my favorite anime series back in the ’90s: Sailor Moon! At the beginning of the series, Usagi was a dreamy, clumsy little schoolgirl who was always oversleeping. I saw a little bit of myself in her.

One of her trademarks was the distinctive odango hairstyle on her head. They looked like bunny ears. And as a rope bunny and pet player, I think “rabbit” suits me very well for that reason too. 🐰

QUESTION TWO

jO: Sub, slave, O, maid, fetish girl, switch, submissive, masochist — how would you describe yourself?

Slave Usagi: In my line of work, pretty much all of those things are part of it to some extent, and I think that’s great. You keep learning how to reinvent yourself without losing who you are.

Personally, though, I would describe myself mainly as a sub and a masochist.

“Every day is different, exciting, and bizarre.”

QUESTION THREE

jO: How did you end up working in a professional dominatrix studio?

Slave Usagi: I love unconventional and creative work. Every day is different, exciting, and bizarre. You meet so many different people, and hopefully I can make them happy — or at least give them a great time.

I also keep learning new techniques from the different women there, especially the professional dominatrices, whether it’s in the medical area or the black room. That wouldn’t be possible at a regular escort agency.

And a hotel simply doesn’t offer the same possibilities.

QUESTION FOUR

jO: You’re available at Studio Avalon in Berlin on Wednesdays and Saturdays. What do you do on the other days?

Slave Usagi: Only Wednesdays, actually. Every now and then, I’m also there on other days if someone books an appointment in advance.

I also offer my services as an escort. I always have my well-equipped BDSM case with me.

I’ve also worked as a guest sub at other studios. Fortunately, there’s work almost everywhere, so it never gets boring.

QUESTION FIVE

jO: Let’s create the Dom of your dreams. What ingredients would he need?

Slave Usagi: Well, I honestly don’t know. I barely have time for romantic relationships in my private life. But that’s also something I’ve chosen for myself — assuming the question is about my personal life.

Right now, everything is perfect just the way it is.

QUESTION SIX

jO: Society celebrates independent, strong women. It almost seems as though we’re all expected to be superheroes now, moving through life successfully and confidently. How do you feel about that?

Slave Usagi: I’m fine with it. My work in particular makes me feel successful, independent, and confident.

I’m allowed to — and CAN — decide for myself when and where I want to work. What could be better than that?

I also want to remain self-employed in the future, even if I eventually have to leave the BDSM scene behind.

QUESTION SEVEN

jO: Do you have any advice for Doms on how they can make their sessions better?

Slave Usagi: It helps if the other person has at least tried experiencing the “other” side themselves.

And everyone is different. During a good pre-session conversation, the dos and don’ts should be discussed and then respected if a session takes place.

“Giving up responsibility and simply letting things happen.”

QUESTION EIGHT

jO: Please complete this sentence: BDSM is, for me…

Usagi: …giving up responsibility and simply letting things happen.

QUESTION NINE

jO: Do you have any advice on how to stay as incredibly slim as you are?

Slave Usagi: No, not really. I’m definitely not a huge fitness fanatic. Unfortunately, I always have to push myself pretty hard to do strength training.

The same goes for “healthy eating.” Sometimes it works better, sometimes it doesn’t.

QUESTION TEN

jO: What do you like to do in your free time?

Slave Usagi: I love real-life escape games! By now, I’ve played around 20 of them, most of them in Berlin and in my hometown. And there will definitely be many more.

Solving puzzles with friends as part of different missions — that’s adventure and excitement.

Geocaching is another one of my favorite hobbies. A modern GPS treasure hunt is a lot of fun. 😉

jO: Thank you very much for your answers.

FAQs

Who is Slave Usagi?

Slave Usagi is a female BDSM studio slave from Berlin who describes herself primarily as a submissive and a masochist. She has experience with professional BDSM studios, escort work, pet play, and rope bondage.

What does the name Usagi mean?

“Usagi” is Japanese for “rabbit.” She chose the name because of the character Usagi from Sailor Moon and because the rabbit theme also fits her interests in rope bunny and pet play.

Why did Usagi choose to work in a BDSM studio?

She enjoys unconventional and creative work where every day is different. A professional studio also gives her the opportunity to learn techniques from experienced dominatrices and use facilities that would not normally be available in a hotel or conventional escort setting.

What does BDSM mean to Slave Usagi?

For Usagi, BDSM means being able to give up responsibility and simply let things happen. Submission allows her to temporarily surrender control within a consensual setting.

What advice does Slave Usagi have for Doms?

She recommends understanding what the other side of a BDSM dynamic feels like and having a thorough conversation before a session. Limits, preferences, dos, and don’ts should be discussed beforehand and respected throughout the experience.

Can submissive women also be independent and confident?

Yes. Usagi sees no contradiction between submission and being independent or self-confident. She values being able to decide for herself when and where she works and wants to remain self-employed in the future.
